A fun day was had by all who attended the Caroline Miller Day Trail Fest 2017 event.
The Friends of Caroline Miller, Inc were blessed and honored to have Joye Cauthen, the great-niece of Caroline Miller. Joye presented a wonderful engaging program about the life of Caroline Miller.
The children (and even the adults) enjoyed the animals in the petting section in the back yard. Animals included llamas, horses, and a little pony. Even a bloodhound made an appearance.
Caroline Miller cupcakes were prepared by The Burrows Tea Room in Baxley. Since Caroline Miller loved Coca-Cola and peanuts, Coca-Cola cupcakes with peanut butter infused icing were sold as refreshments and were a hit with all who tasted them.
Several people became members of the Friends of Caroline Miller, Inc which the organization greatly appreciated.
“Pickin’ On The Porch” commenced at 4:00 and a nice crowd gathered to enjoy the music, tap their feet, and sing along.
The Chili Cook-off was held and JoAnne Switzer came away with the honor of Chili Champ and the prizes.
Thank you to Whistle Stop Antiques for the furniture and accessories to help stage the house. It was perfect!
